You can begin deletion without contacting support.
Delete from the app
- Open KeepUp and choose Settings.
- Scroll to Delete my KeepUp account.
- Review the explanation and choose Schedule deletion.
Notifications stop and your account is signed out immediately. A seven-day recovery window applies. During that window, sign in again with the same account and choose Restore my account to cancel deletion. Previously signed-out devices remain disconnected; the restored phone reconnects its own notification registration through the normal permission flow. After the recovery deadline, KeepUp deletes your profile, device tokens, active authorization credentials, remaining pseudonymous product-analytics counters, and all messages, list items, events, reminders, and other user-generated content you authored, subject to legal and security retention requirements.
If you cannot access the app
Email support@keepupcouples.com from the email address associated with your KeepUp account with the subject “KeepUp account deletion.” We will verify ownership before acting. Never send a password or magic sign-in link.
Shared content
Deleting your account does not delete your partner’s account or content they authored. KeepUp deletes the content you authored, including content you previously shared with the household. If no active member remains, KeepUp deletes the empty household.
Limited records retained after deletion
Safety records involving your account are deidentified by removing reporter, subject, household, and source identifiers; bounded report evidence and revision; user details; operator notes and references; block-support fields; and identifying audit fields. Aggregate report source type, reason, status, and time may remain only until the report's existing expiry, no later than 180 days. KeepUp may also retain other deidentified security and audit events, plus processed or failed subscription-webhook records, for up to 180 days. If your partner remains in the shared space, anonymized subscription status may remain so their existing entitlement can continue. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat may retain transaction records under their own policies for tax, accounting, refunds, fraud prevention, or chargebacks. We keep identifiable records longer only when a documented legal hold or applicable law requires it.
Subscriptions
Deleting a KeepUp account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription in your Apple or Google store account settings to stop future renewals.
